Brothers in Arms is the fifth studio album by British rock band Dire Straits, originally released on May 17, 1985. One of the world’s best-selling albums, it was the first album ever to sell over one million copies in the CD format and achieved multi-platinum status internationally—spending 14 non-consecutive weeks at number one in the UK, nine in the US, and 34 in Australia.

This vinyl edition is a 40th-anniversary single-LP reissue.  It mirrors the original LP’s format, with certain tracks—such as “So Far Away,” “Money for Nothing,” “Your Latest Trick,” and “Why Worry”—slightly abridged to fit the single-LP runtime.
